i have been trying to install etch on an i686 and an amd64 with the biz-card cd. all times everything works fine up until :tisk: the "install base system" comes up and it always fails. gaah! the message is along the lines of "failed to determine codename for release" note :twocents: i dont have an internet connection. and no its not an option, except on the laptop, where i have a wifi card, but i cant use that during installation, correct? please help, because right now i have fedora, and its killing me!:mad::cry: lol

The biz-card cd is designed for an installation where the computer is connected to the internet and can get most of the files from there. You'll need to install from the full CD or DVD set if you don't have an internet connection. Depending on what you want to install you may need only the first 2-3 CDs to get to a point that you can connect.

I'm not sure, but I think that if you don't have internet access, you probably should use the first FULL CD, not the biz card...
