Question Debian "etch" install problems - no NIC found

Yeah, here goes another newbie thread

I'm quite new to Debian and is running "Sarge" on my server with Apace, PHP, MySQL and VSFTPD and everything works fine.
But now I want to install "etch" on my "day to day use" PC.
This computer has a ASUS A7N8X-E DeLuxe with NVIDIA & Marvell Yukon 88E8001 onboard NIC's, and this is where my problem starts...
When detecting NIC's, the debian installer (netinstall cd) cannot find any of my NIC's.

Can someone help me get this working with the netinstall cd or do I have to do a minimal nstall with the 'usual' cd set and install the drivers after?

Any help, tips or hints is more than appreciated.

Didt find much info about this on the net, but please advice me where to find out more if you got a clue

Hi,

I had the same problem for an Asus Motherboard. I tried for a long time to do a netinstall
with an older CD for etch. I advise you to go to debian.org, they have got daily images for
netinstall, they update very often their support for new types of NIC. There is a possibility
yours should be, you just have one 150 mb to burn to find out, no big deal. Otherwise, I
have no more clues for you.

Hope that helps.

Regards.
