Debian: can't find IRQ for PCI INT A; probably buggy MP table

Hello,

I have no sound and no wifi. The kernel is new and ath9k is there and loaded.

However with booting into the kernel with pci=biosirq, I still have no sound.

Any ideas?
thank you

As you mention in the thread title, this is probably due to the kernel not being able to read or parse the ESCD PnP data generated by the BIOS. This is not likely to be a Debian-specific problem; it might be kernel-specific (the motherboard may require some particular quirk which a later kernel may know about), or it could be a BIOS bug.

If a BIOS upgrade is available for your system/motherboard, that might very well solve the problem. You could also try resetting the ESCD data in the BIOS: enter the BIOS setup routine and look for a setting called "Reset ESCD Data"/"Reset PnP Data" or something to that effect.

Exactly the same problem here (asus x200ma)
