Debian and Wireless

Hi!

I am currently running Debian Sarge for AMD 64, kernel 2.6.8-11-amd64-generic.

I have a broadcom wireless card device 4318 revision 02. I have installed NDISWRAPPER and driver bcmwl5. Everything starts out find, it even detects the hardware as present when I ndiswrapper -l. However when I try to modprobe ndisdriver to actually get things running, the following error is returned:

Code:
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.8-11-amd64-generic/misc/ndiswrapper.ko): Invalid module format
Any advice would be most appreciated.

Make sure the ndiswrapper used is the correct version for the kernel you're using.

Also it appears you're using AMD64 kernel. Are you sure ndiswrapper is compiled for that version?
