I appreciate that English is not your first language but if you continue to ignore my questions & suggestions there seems little point continuing this.
GNOME has it's own sound mixer in the control panel so try that.
Have we given up on the wireless systray issue?
This is why there should only be one problem per thread...
and i find in the system settings, Hardware--Audio and Video settings, only a Dummy output is active, and other Built-in Audio..., are inactive,in grey.
so i think
root@debian:~# lspci -v
this command only shows this system can find the audio hardware ,but need a drive to make it work? am i right?
Thanks "Head_on_a_Stick"
I installed pavucontrol, but gnome desktop lost. and i can start pavucontrol, play music, and the volume equalizer wave can jump. but still no sound. start under xfce and kde enviroment
sorry sir, english is not my main language, i am a chinese.
Thanks for your promptly reply. the wireless runs well now under XFCE enviroment.
but in KDE, no network manager appears in control pannal at the bottom of sreen.
and i check the system settings too, find no settings.
find no settings.
i mean i could not find settings on howto make wireless work, under KDE. but cable connection work well, and also i do not know where the place i can setting the network.
the KDE desktop is much like the KDE in Opensuse.
but opensuse is much more beautiful than debian.
Thanks "Head_on_a_Stick"
maybe when i installed the system not completely, some utility may not have installed. i will find it myself. i am grateful for your help.
