Debian 7 KDE launcher issue.

I believe it's wheezy stable. Is there a way to get rid of the "debian" folder on the launcher menu and move it's programs into the regular kde menu? Thing looks incredibly tacky and out of place.

Also for whatever reason upon fresh install there are no folders inside of Home, it's empty. Didn't want to start 2 threads for mostly cosmetic problems.

Really like KDE and want to give it a go on debian but the first in particular is a real turn off for me. If can't fix will stick with gnomeshell or xfce : /

For the folders, the KDE wheezy doesn't create folders. I personally consider this an improvement from when it would create 20 trillion folders, since I don't like tons of useless folders. If you want one of them created, then just
Code:
mkdir <directory>
I've noticed the Debian folder before, most of it already exists in the main branch of the Kmenu, but it doesn't bother me so I just ignore it. You could edit the <default> and/or your users kmenu to remove them (default would then not create them for future users).

As for the directories inside your user dir, if you want them to be automatically created, you need to install xdg-user-dirs. I'm not on my PC right now to test, but I believe just installing this package and restarting your session will create these directories.

As for the menu issue, not sure how to remove this menu system-wide, but you can modify the KDE menu as Timothy suggested. (I agree it's annoying and ordinary, fortunately it's not on Debian Sid anymore).
