May I ask: why the switch?

Thanks for reply. I am switching to gnome because I want to try something new in Debian. I am using KDE for the last three or four years. I have tried Gnome in Fedora but I did not like it and switched back to KDE. I wish this time I find gnome as good as KDE.
1- You are right. gconf-editor did what I wanted to do. Unfortunately, aptitude did not install it for me with Gnome at the beginning.
2- The Gnome folder equivalent to "~/.kde/share/config" is "~/.gconf". However, it uses xml documents not text ones.
3- I wish there is a bluetooth client for Gnome.
4- Servicemenu in KDE are user actions that appear once we click on the right mouse button, such as "open as root", "Install a package", extra.
5-I do not know what is "SLAB". Where to find it?
