current Kernel 3.16-2 fails. (custom config, but not default one) Debian jessie i386

Hya

System
Debian jessie i386 current as of 30/Sep, on an old Acer laptop.

Set up
Custom kernel. 3.14.13 works. No trouble at all.

After extracting a new kernel source (3.16-2)
make oldconfig -> make... then lilo (so far, nothing unusual)

Problem
The new kernal image dose not boot!

lilo works, while a lot of boot up message show up, it fails. When it fails, screen looks somethin like an old game.

Troubleshooting
Tried to turn off syscall options -> did not work.

Tried to install linux-image-3.16-2-486. (it works!!)
Then tried to compare my custom config with default config (/usr/src/linux-config-3.16/config.i386-none_486. (Too many outputs!!)

Tried to record bootup message, (so far not successfull)

Tried to search web, with keywords Debian and 3.16-2. (nothing useful)

Changelog and bug (I do not think it is a bug, though) were checked, but I might have looked over.

Question
Can anybody help me?

Closing remark
I will appreciate any suggestion.
