CUPS error: option "-o outputorder=reverse" ignored!

Hi,

First problem: CUPS ignores command "-outputorder=reverse", so that text files are printed as if the command weren't there - that is, in the wrong order. I only detected this abnormal behaviour recently - it used to work in the past.

Second problem: When checking my configuration on http://localhost:631/admin, I found that I cannot configure the printer. When I click "Configure Printer" I get the message "Error: server-error-internal-error".

How can I sensibly search for the cause of this misbehavior?
Thanks for your help, umk

PS: I googled this, but couldn't find out what's wrong. The /var/log/cups/error_log file didn't help me either. Here is the file:

Hi,

I just post the solution, in case anybody ever has this problem (unlikely, though):

The error that caused CUPS to ignore my -o outputorder option was:
E [14/Jun/2005:23:27:49 +0100] [Job 101] Unable to open temp file: No such file or directory

After a while I remembered that I once, in a premature attempt to clean my /var directory manually (I've discovered logrotate since...) I must have deleted the /var/spool/cups/tmp directory. So I now made a new directory, made it writable, and the first problem was sorted. umk
