I am trying to find some info on creating a decent installation CD tailored to the machines I run Debian on. Knoppix is pretty much out of the question since it's not really Debian. What I'm looking for is pretty much a souped up netinstall CD, like Dave Kimdon's netinstall bootbf2.4 CD (
http://people.debian.org/~dwhedon/boot-floppies/) but with a full development environment, including vim, gcc-3.3, make, etc. I would prefer using packages from Sarge but I guess I could live with having Woody packages on it.
I have downloaded the debian-cd package from CVS and read the docs but it looks like it's focused at creating official Debian CD's, or at least semi-official ones. I just want a small installation CD with some bells and whistles to be able to install the packages my different machines need and to compile the drivers for them.
