cant see synology diskstation

Hi Guys, hope you are doing great!
I have a synology diskstation DS411J. I used to able to see it on my debian machine but its not there anymore. It used to appear on the network list. I can see all my mac computers on the debian system but not the synology. i dont what Ive done or whats happened. I have tried to read a lot of the 'how to' online but I dont understand enough of it to risk my machine. does anyone have a simple method of getting acces to a nas on a network on debian. thank you

Can the other computers "see" the NAS?
I assume the NAS is functional and you can access its web configuration pages?

Can you access the device directly by selecting in the file browser menu Go -> location and entering
smb://NAS_ip_address or smb://NAS_hostname (and press enter)

If smbclient is installed you can see the NAS's shares via the command
smbclient -L NAS_hostname or smbclient -L NAS_ip_address

Press enter when prompted for a password.

Have you configured other services like ftp or nfs etc on the NAS?
