cant run xserver/mouse problem.

i just installed debian and can't run any graphical interface.
it says that /dev/input/mice doesnt exist.
in base config, i choosed psaux (my mouse is pluged into ps/2) and imps/2 (my mouse has scroll).
what i did wrong? how can i fix this?

I'm in the same boat... I reinstalled Linux (debian woody) and the only note i left for myself was "psaux is mouse"

'Not a lot of help, me' I told myself.
I'm going to rub some brain cells together and see if I can re-find the solution for both of us

I know my usb mouse is psaux, i though last time i had to mkdir something for it to work, protocol is set to ps/2 though i dont think it was last time, auto seems to not find protocol.

The more you learn, the more stuffy your head gets...
