Question Cannot add a user in sarge.

On debian sarge, I'm trying to add a user for MySQL but every time I try, I get the following error

Quote:
/usr/bin/perl: relocation error: /usr/perl5/locale/gettext/gettext.so: unrecognized symbol: Perl_gthr_key_ptr
What do I need to do?

there is something wrong with this message. there is afaik no /usr/perl5 directory. in debian it's located in /usr/lib/perl5. on my sys (older sarge) gettext.so is in /usr/lib/perl5/auto/Locale/gettext. try "locate gettext.so".
maybe it's related to your locale-settings.

sl mritch.
