Do i need to install ArtistX and if i need to install then how to install frm LiveDVD without disturbing windows , i've kept 11 GB space.
When i try to access windows partition i receive such error,

process 5976: applications must not close shared connections - see dbus_connection_close() docs. this is a bug in the application.

This error happens for each partition as sda6,7, ..... I want to install artistX without disturbing WindowsXP SP2.

Why did you post this in the Debian forum?

ArtistX is Debian-based.

What do the ArtistX developers say about installing it?

Quote:

The goal of ArtistX is to be the free multimedia swiss knife tool, but we don't want you to install it.

Why?

Because ArtistX is and will be based in the future on Debian GNU/Linux and we don't want to duplicate the effort and subtract energy and resources to this wonderful universal operating system, which is the base for Ubuntu, Mephis, Linspire and many other GNU/Linux distributions. If you follow the instructions presented below you will end having a very well performing ArtistX on your hard drive but you will have also the possibility to help Debian in many ways (see http://www.debian.org/devel/join/) and help the world become more indipendent from proprietary operating systems. After this you will be more free: give this a try, please.

Debian This forum is for the discussion of Debian Linux.

-- Why does LQ also have an "Ubuntu" forum? Isn't that Debian-based too?
