Can I make ndiswrapper override the broadcom 4318 driver?
I upgraded to kernel 2.6.17 (or 2.6.18, whichever you prefer) to fix a problem with my pcmcia (worked great, btw), but now my wireless doesn't work at all because of the new kernel support for the wireless card in newer kernels. Ironic I guess. I tried to get the kernel driver working but found that to be basically impossible and I was informed that the kernel driver does not yet support my card properly. Glad to see the progress though.
Anyway, this means I still need ndiswrapper to make my wireless card work, and even with the ndiswrapper module loaded it does not work because the broadcom kernel driver seems to take over. How can I make ndiswrapper override that, or disable the kernel driver (I don't want to compile a custom kernel if I don't have to)?
