Hmmm!
Which reminds me, I once ran kwifimanager as root in KDE with command: kdesu kwifimanager, pretty sure you can run any GUI in KDE in this manner. But again, need to do the extra step of typing in the password. But a good point to mention here.
EDIT: Or maybe that's only for KDE apps, maybe someone can add info because I'm not sure.
