I started installation cd and choose: graphical rescue mode (guided from:
http://www.debian.org/releases/stabl...h08s07.html.en).
Followed instructions I came up to a point where I have to choose device to use as root file system
Device to use as root file system:
/dev/hda1
/dev/hda2
/dev/hda5
/dev/hda6
If I choose hda1, hda2 or hda5 I'm getting message:
Mount failed
An error occured while mounting the device you entered for your root file system (/dev/hda5) on target.
Please check syslog for more information.
Choosing hda6:
Rescue operations:
Execute a shell in /dev/hda6
Execute a shell in the installer environment
Choose a different root file system
Reboot the system
By choosing first option:
No shell found in /target
No usable shell was found on your root file system (/dev/hda6)
Second option:
Interactive shell in the installer environment
BusyBox v1.10.2 (Debian 1:1.10.2-2) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
