Busy Box appears after kernel upgrade reboots
I'm running Debian Sid/Etch and when upgrading to Kernel 2.6.16-1-686 on the reboot loading stops here:

BusyBox v.1.01
/bin/sh/: can't access tty
Job control turned off

on entering help busy box has about 150 odd 'built in' commands where some seem to work and others don't

What commands is /# looking for and why is Job control turned off? What does all that mean?

To use Debian I have to reboot and use the earlier Kernel 2.6.12

Does anyone know what's happening here? I've not seen this one before.

You dropped into this emergency shell because the boot failed. Somewhere above this output should be the reason.
