boot for Knoppix 3.6 iso

My Knoppix 3.6 iso was burned to
CD but wouldn't boot. I thought Knoppix stopped using boot.img
and had changed to a new fancier technique.
I searched for a boot-en.img or any reasonable likeness
but couldn't find it. I burned the coaster with K3B.

If you know what boot technique 3.6 uses and how to change to
do it right instead of just pulling down the iso into K3b please reply.
Can anyone please help?
Thanks,

Well, lets see now, I downloaded the ISO, burned it to cdrom using K3B, burned as iso image that is...rebooted the PC and knoppix starts up just fine from the cdrom.

I don't like running it from cdrom so once it was booted I did alt+F1 to get to a root console, then I typed:

IGNORE_CHECK=1 sudo knopix-installer

and followed the prompts to have a hdd installation...

then I set my own network settings and someone here advised me on how to make them stick after a reboot and all is well.

So, when you say knoppix will not boot what exactly do you mean? If it isn't booting from the cdrom then you most likley have a corrupted iso or are burning it improperly....when burning are you going to K3B=>tools menu=>cd=>burn iso?

Cheers,

J

K3b must via tools not drag&drop to boot

Thanks Jatcan,
A few keystrokes like
K3B=>tools menu=>cd=>burn iso
is worth much more than a lot of other words.

I dragged and dropped with k3b as usual and only burned another file the 1st time.
Now I opened tools, cd, burn image and got a bootable cd.
It seems to be working fine.
Thanks for your help.
