boot disk ?

Ive just moved /home and /usr to a new disk, also moved /var to a new phyical place. Everything works fine (whew..!)

But i am now curious about having to make a new boot-floppy. I shouldn't have to, right? The mount points are handled in fstab - correct? (Im using grub).

Hello,

You don't have to create a new boot disk. The / isn't moved so you don't have problem with the original boot disk and you are rigth, the mount point are located in fstab so no need of new disk.
