BOINC sandboxed in my debian machine
Hi there,
I have a new install of the latest debian on my machine, and I will now like to setup BOINC on it. For security reasons I will like to have BOINC sandboxed and separate, with an installation that doesn't allow it to be together with the home user folder etc. What could you recommend to accomplish this. Please advise. Regards, |
Hi VampX,
There are several possible solutions, heres a couple: - chroot jail - pro's: least amount of resources resuired - cons: may take time/testing to get it right - run it on a virtual machine - pros: highest separation - cons: higher resource usage - free virtualisation solutions - xen - kvm - vmware server - qemu - the list goes on.. cheers |
