Post BlackRhino Debian Distro on PS2

I am trying to install the samba version 2.2.3-6 that comes with the distro (so should install) using dselect command but whenever it comes to install and --configure samba it comes up with an error:-

...
*** IMPORTANT ***
The Format of the smbpasswd file (which is used only if you are using encrypted passwords) is different in samba 2.0.0 and above. I will convert it to new format

dpkg: error processing samba (--configure)
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
samba
E: Sub process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Does anyone know what this means/how do i get the error in a more verbose for so i can see what the problem is?

p.s samba doesnt run properly users cant authenticate im guessing it has something to do with this error during installation.
