best debian backup tool

I want to backup my system I'm using sarge r2 on 386, and I was wondering which is the best backup tool, not the easiest, but the best.

It is not urgent, that's why I want the best, to learn it lol

In the sept. 2006 issue of Linux Magazine (UK based: there is an interesting article on backing up your system with tar The best thing about it is that all tools used are already standard in your distro

you might want to try Mondo Rescue. it is painless to do full system backup and restore.
