automount of KDE, which packages?

Hello,

In the desktop of knoppix linux, I can see that some drives are there, from my xp machine.

The etc/fstab has been also auto-updated by a sort of automount for kde.

how to run this process for fluxbox?

you mean you want to have desktop icons for disk drives, such as those that KDE has, in fluxbox? i'm afraid fluxbox can't do that by itself, you need some other tool for that (e.g. rox filer). or are you using KDE with fluxbox as a window manager instead of the default one? if that's the case, are you using KDE 3.x or 4.x?

it seems to me that the screenshot shows pure KDE, not a combination of kdesktop with fluxbox. anyway, do you have HAL installed and running? because HAL is used for the KDE automounting. and is it so important to do this in knoppix? wouldn't a genuine debian distro be better? we would know what versions of the programs you have etc.
