Autologin to X and lirc don't work after upgrade
 

I'm running a Mythtv setup based on Debian testing. When I installed mjpegtools, I was forced to upgrade from my previous, stable XFree86 to Xorg. I had the system set to automatically log in to KDE with the appropriate user at startup, but now after booting, it stops at the console login. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Additionally, the lirc daemon I had working no longer works, hence, my remote isn't working. I realize I haven't posted all necessary information here, I'm not sure what is necessary, so ask and I'll be glad to add anything.
