audio mute after every reboot.

I am using
Debian sid
Kernel: 3.0.0-2-686-pae

The audio is mute during every reboot. I try to look up the alsa config file, but I cannot find the file. Does alsa already integrated with the kernel, just like madwifi? I need to download a tool to config it in order to make it work? amixer?

How do I fix it? any suggestion?
