asus x51l duo t5800 2gb

Hello
I have a Asus X51L Duo T5800 with 2gb ram.
I need a distro with virtualbox.
I tried debian+lxde but with virtualbox It doesn't work properly: too slow
I've given 1gb to virtualbox (Office 2007)
Please any suggestion
Thank you

Upgrade the ram if it supports it. I don't foresee anything running well with virtualbox running on that spec machine. With 4 GB you might be able to get away with it. If it doesn't support it, I'd run Office through WINE, I seem to recall 2007 (which you realize isn't supported with security patches?) will run fine through wine, and it would be faster than attempting to run Virtualbox.

I daresay LibreOffice is better than Office 2007 - and runs on GNU/Linux natively. No VB required.
