Make sure that you have both zip and unzip installed.

Code:
>$ acp unzip
unzip:

  Candidate: 5.50-3
  Version Table:
 *** 5.50-3 0
        990 http://ftp2.de.debian.org testing/main Packages
        600 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     5.50-1woody2 0
        500 http://security.debian.org stable/updates/main Packages
        500 http://ftp2.de.debian.org stable/main Packages

>$ acp zip
zip:
  Installed: 2.30-6
  Candidate: 2.30-6
  Version Table:
 *** 2.30-6 0
        990 http://ftp2.de.debian.org testing/main Packages
        600 http://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     2.30-5 0

It seems, that the program that you are calling is not in the PATH.

You have 2 options, change the PATH or call the program by its full path.

I'm having the same problem- I have both zip and unzip installed and they are the newest versions according to apt, even if I call it from /usr/bin/ark I get the error.
If you figure out a solution, please post here!

Thanks

Some programs you can only use as root.

Use SU and try again.

If that doesn't work you should look what your PATH is and find out if your program is in that PATH.

Did you upgarde KDE? Known bug KDE 3.2.2 http://www.kde.org/info/3.2.2.php#binary
There is now an updated Ark pkg that fixed it for unstable here.
