ari-yahoo, gnuyahoo not working

hello

I tried to install on my console system ari-yahoo and gnuyahoo, all the dependences seem to be solved but they still do not connect.

gnuyahoo, which shows output tells me "Connecting to Yahoo ... "
and freezes.

any ideas?

I don;t know what those programs do but for IM i recomend u gaim( http://gaim.sf.net ) which is IRC,Yahoo!,MSN etc client

why not use yahoo's debian implemetation...
click on the messenger link and then on the debian link

one question guys, why i can't use voice conversation under linux??? i didn't see it neither on yahoo, amsn or any other instant message program.
so any suggestions?
