arabic fonts
Hi, every body
I ve just installed debian, ( in fact knoppix is more easy, I complete it with apt-cdrom). When I use mozilla and connect to an arabic site , like www.bbcarabic.com, I get the correct fonts, I mean the arabic fonts are correctly displayed. But If I want to write a text in xterm , using the ar keyboard nothing good is displaying. I tried to install the openoffice 1.1 with the arabic openoffice.org-l10n-ar_1.1.0-2_all.deb , the fonts displayed in the interface installater are a list rectangles... Someone has an idea thank you very much. bela |
If you still have the problem, then repost at http://www.debianhelp.org or Linux-Software. I know that mozilla uses its own font system, so you're probably just missing a general locale package. This forum doesn't exactly get huge amounts of activity, as you can tell :-) . Otherwise, this post is just to get this thread off the 0 replies list.
