Apt/tasksel status after power outage
ok, so i installed my new Debian (basic) system last night. This morning I started the installation of the "Desktop" system using the tasksel before I headed off to work. Well, my power went out while I was at work.
Is there any way that I can know if tasksel finished before the power outage? I know that I did take the screen prompts past all of the X config stuff and then it looked like it was maybe building the packages. I just dont have a clue as to where it could have stopped or finished. Thanks you so much for any help. Mike |
You can restart tasksel, as it will not redownload any packages it already has in the cache. If you get install errors you can use "apt-get -f install".

You might like to try:
# dpkg --yet-to-unpack but I suspect an # apt-get upgrade would do something similar |
