Apt/tasksel status after power outage

ok, so i installed my new Debian (basic) system last night. This morning I started the installation of the "Desktop" system using the tasksel before I headed off to work. Well, my power went out while I was at work.

Is there any way that I can know if tasksel finished before the power outage?

I know that I did take the screen prompts past all of the X config stuff and then it looked like it was maybe building the packages. I just dont have a clue as to where it could have stopped or finished.

Thanks you so much for any help.

Mike

You can restart tasksel, as it will not redownload any packages it already has in the cache. If you get install errors you can use "apt-get -f install".

You might like to try:
# dpkg --yet-to-unpack

but I suspect an
# apt-get upgrade
would do something similar
