apt-get / dpkg error caused by aspell

I just tried to run an update on my system (in synaptic) and i got the following error message:

Code:

Failed to apply all changes! Scroll in the terminal buffer to see what went

Any sugestions as to how to solve this one? I'm assuming that the problem is with aspell and the file that dpkg looks at but i'm not too knoledgeable on this sort of thing. thanks in advance

well i managed to make things go one way.

This will possably come back and bite me but i removed a line of what looked like crap from the aspell.list file which seemed to make one improvemeant.

Then the gnome-spell.list file caused the same error message so i blanked it (after backing it up) and that seems to have sorted things for the short term.
