Question apt-build fails

i have installed apt-build several times and have it set up and everything required (to my knowledge) installed. i run apt-build world or apt-build upgrade and the like and i get the same output (except the package name will change depending) as an error:

Code:
-----> Downloading source a2ps (1:4.14-1) <-----
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Could not open file /var/lib/apt/lists/debian.three-dimensional.net_debian-multimedia_dists_unstable_mainn_source_Sources - open (2 No such file or directory)
-----> Building a2ps <-----
Can't chdir(a2ps-4.14): No such file or directory at (eval 1) line 3
    main::__ANON__('a2ps-4.14') called at /usr/bin/apt-build line 288
    main::build('a2ps', 4.14, undef) called at /usr/bin/apt-build line 530
    main::install(undef) called at /usr/bin/apt-build line 734
    main::world called at /usr/bin/apt-build line 82
i have reinstalled apt-build and searched around but i could not find anything which could help me. any ideas?

Did you apt-build update? Are you running it as root?

Looks like you have a typo in your sources.list file:

Code:
E: Could not open file /var/lib/apt/lists/debian.three-dimensional.net_debian-multimedia_dists_unstable_mainn_source_Sources - open (2 No such file or directory)

Thanks! I fixed that now and have no package file errors in any of my apt-get programs.

Unfortunately it did not fix my original and rather critical error of apt-build failing due to the above error. Any ideas left?

Please post the errors that you are still getting. Most of the errors above were related to the missing package.

What version of apt-build are you using?
Code:
apt-build -v
