I have been using mutt/exim4/procmail/fetchmail for a couple of years now. My isp is comcast. In the last month or so, I can't send any messages out. Exim logs show retry timeout, as it's unable to reach smtp.comcast.net. I checked with comcast, their tech support is useless, but they did say I'm not blocked or anything.
I didn't change anything nor did I do an update. Everything is as it has been for 2-3 years.
Anyone else with this problem or any ideas? Thanks!
well if it's saying it literally can't reach it, that'd cite an ip level issue, can you ping it? can you telnet to it on port 25?
btw, might want to remove that link in you sig. or renew the domain... how about the first as i assume that's technically advertising anyway, which is against the rules of LQ. ta.
I wanted to know if anyone else was having this problem. No I can't ping it, but Comcast says it's up and working. I don't know if it's a problem because I'm running a mail server on my computer with a dynamic IP, or what.
