Any Knoppix people here? Interface question about gparted

Hey so there's no forum for Knoppix here on LQ. So hey are there any Knoppix people around here? Figured it was worth a shot-

Well, it's a very simple question- I'm running Knoppix 7.7 (pretty much the latest version), and I can't find gparted in any of the menu selections.

Now, I can (and did) find it in /usr/sbin and ran it from the command line, and that worked fine, but, well, I want to know if it's just right there in the menu somewhere because I'm training some youngun's to do some basic IT work and they're not good at the CL. They're "IT", I'm a programmer, so....

Anyway, I dug around and it doesn't seem to be in the menus. It used to be, in every other knoppix disc I used over the years, but is it hidden somewhere or did they just remove it from the menus for some reason?

thanks,

rw

Release notes have this listing.

Not sure what version you have and where you got it from also.

I haven't used Knoppix in years. May still have to set a root password and start it from terminal.

Didn't know Knoppix was still alive!

Anyway, if it still uses KDE, you can use KDE search function (pressing Alt-F2) to locate Gparted. BTW, IIRC, it used Qparted instead of Gparted.
