Amarok unmet dependencies

While trying to apt-get amarok I got this error message:

Code:
apt-get install amarok :(
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
amarok: Depends: libtunepimp2c2a (>= 0.3.0) but it is not installable
E: Broken packages9
Who knows how I can solve this? Thanks in advance!

are you running sid or etch because accordign to the debian package search site that package is only available for testing (etch).

I am running unstable. Doe this mean I must downgrade to testing?

Edit: I chnaged the repositories to testing and amarok install fine now. Thanks a lot!

No, this means you have to wait a couple of days for dependencies to get fixed. This can happen every now and then since you are on Sid. Sid is far from unstable but every now and then some package can be broken.
Changing your repo's from unstable to testing is not always a quick fix, patience is normally better. Remember you are not on testing now. Debian can't just be 'downgraded' by using the testing repo's. You are still on Sid but apt-get dist-upgrade won't do anything for quite some time

Thanks for your clarification! You are absolutly right. Mixing stabling and testing made things even worse therefor I did a frash install maing sure only the 'testing' repositories are enabled.
