agnula livecd can't login

Okay, I'm still playing with different distros to find the one I like, and decided to give the agnula livecd a shot. Well, it takes almost an hour for it to boot, and once it goes into X I get an error saying cannot use resolution 1024 x 768 and have to ctrl-alt-bkspc out of it. I would try to fix it in some fashion, however, I am also unable to login, for everything I've tried is invalid. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

try to reconfig x. do you get a login prompt?

I get a login prompt as soon as I leave x, however, it says my login is invalid, but I never created one. I tried the slax root/toor, that didn't work, nor did just loging in without a password or user name.
