after a clean deabian sarge netinst..what packages should I install first??


Hi : did a clean debian sarge netinst install..sort of a minimal sarge... what packages should I install first and in what order..to finally endup with a working gnome desktop ??
Can you specify them with the corresponding apt-get syntax plisss??

this is the way i do it...

i use tasksel first
Base system
C++
JAVA
Perl
Kernel Build

i reboot and use aptitude from this point

first
i install
Xfree and related items
then Gnome selecting those items i need

my system has been up and running continuously fro several weeks except when i reboot do to certain updates that i think need a reboot...

In my case, after clean netinstallation I install x-window-system package and gnome packages
#apt-get install x-window-system
#apt-get install gnome

I install x-window-system fluxbox kde firefox thunderbird guarddog,I use fluxbox but use the tools from kde for printing ect.
