Adjusting text size on Debian run on a Kobo Mini ereader

A while ago I bought a Kobo Mini and installed a ready-made version of Debian on it, as described here:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=222123

I ask the question here rather than there because I think there will be more people with greater expertise here.

Unfortunately all the text on it is too small to read without difficulty.

1) How can I make the text bigger throughout?

Supplementary questions:

2) How can I change the "wallpaper" to something I like better? Or even just no wallpaper?

3) The set-up on the Kobo Mini obtained by following the instructions in the link above keeps the original Kobo Mini operating ststem also available. Can I delete this completely, as I do not like it and never use it?

4) If I delete the Kobo Mini original operating system will the battery still charge?

5) How can I add more ereader software, so that I have a choice. I would mostly use it for reading academic pdf files.

I assume it will be way too difficult for a Linux novice to put together my own distribution for it.

Thanks.

dpi settings.
debian system you say?
i cannot find a straightforward answer.
chances are your system parses ~/.Xresources or ~/.Xdefaults at login. but maybe not.
you could create a file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ and add some options.
or maybe your login manager can do it.
