Depends entirely on what is used as a "desktop". Does not apply to window manager obviously.

This thread is also nearly 2 years old.

Hello, is this also possible on KDE?

I thought KDE distros were discontinued. Both Linux Mint, and Redhat RHEL and Centos dropped support for KDE. KDE issued a release of KDE neon which uses Ubuntu as the primary OS and KDE for the Plasma 5 desktop environment. I haven't tried it though. At the moment I'm using XFce.

Archlinux and Suse also still supports KDE. I'll test it next time I build a machine using one of these operating systems.

KDE is by no means discontinued. Some distros have dropped KDE, but active development continues on KDE.

I'm quite aware of that. Personally still looking to build broader support for all versions of Linux, in getting significantly more market share for both the PC, and Mobile Market. For mobile... Android is eclipsing Linux it seems. I don't believe Android is secure though, to the same degree that Linux is, and alot of features available in Linux remain unavailable using Android. Are you aware of anyone working on a Linux Distro for mobile phones?

What does this have to do with adding apps to the desktop? Why not start a new thread for this question, instead of hijacking someone else's?

You've also been sucked in by a troll (jsbjsb002).
