ACPI and asus laptop....
I've got an asus m6800 series laptop with his strange acpi bios that in linux can't display the battery charge, like we all know.
I've already read some how to about this problem but really i don't know the exactly solution. I saw, for example, a method with the acpi patch to the vanilla kernel(2.6.x series) but i can't find the fileds in the kernel's config that permits me to load an external dsdt for my asus laptop. i use a vanilla ac2 kernel and i know that the alan cox patch already include the acpi patch. |
just do
apt-get install acpid |
