Accidentally deleted APT. How to re-install apt?

Linux Newbie here.

I accidentally removed apt while using deselect to un-install a program to see how the removal process worked, and I accidently removed apt. I tried to use dselect to re-install apt, but I need apt to download the files from the net.

Does anyone know how to re-install apt, without re-installing Debian?

Gruzzen,

Go to http://packages.debian.org/stable/base/apt.html (assuming your are running stable) or http://packages.debian.org/testing/base/apt.html if you upgraded to testing. Download the file to anywhere you want and run "dpkg -i apt_0.5.4_i386.deb" as root. (Changing the version and processor as necessary).

Good Luck,
chris
