Accessing second hard drive?

Hey guys, I want to be able to view files on another hard drive. Its actually the master hard drive, but the one linux is installed on is the slave. When linux boots, its identified as hda but when I try to mount it in KDE it says:

Could not mount device.
The reported error was:
mount: can't find /dev/hda1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

How do I fix this?

If your certain the partition you're after is hda1 and it has a filesystem your kernel supports it may be the GUI being silly... As a quick test see if you can mount it through a terminal instead using something like:

mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/some_dir_you_created

Yeah, that seemes to work. I bet the problem was that in my GUI, I wasn't logged in as root so it kept giving me that error. Thanks!
