A couple of annoying problems...
I have a 486DX4-100 here that will ultimately be set up as a headless router and as Gentoo would never be a decent proposition on a machine like this I installed Debian unstable. I installed Webmin on it because while I'm no stranger to remote configuration via SSH, it can be a chore sometimes. The problem here is that, despite adding the IP of my desktop machine to the "IP Access Control" section of the webmin configuration I still can't access it remotely through a browser, I have to login to the machine remotely and use lynx (it doesn't have X installed) to access Webmin. Have I missed another section to add remote IPs?

The other problem I'm having is that I want to replace inetd with xinetd but Debian in it's infinite wisdom has decided that since there are half a dozen packages dependent on inetd I can't install it. Is there a way I can force it to uninstall inetd without uninstalling the dependant packages so I can slot xinetd in it's place?

I've put the latter down to typical Debian BS and put in a less than ideal workaround but can anyone give me a clue as to what I might be doing wrong with Webmin? Is there some security thing I've failed to disable?
