2.4 doesnt support my hardware so i cant install Debian

I want to put Debian on my laptop but kernel 2.4 doesnt seem to support my xircom network adapter. Does anyone know of a Debian installer that uses 2.6 or supports the xircom network adapter?

Burn Debian Sarge install disk. When it boots:
#linux26
instead of <ENTER>

Debian from Scratch? It was kinda fun to play with and you choose your kernel from the get-go.

Sure!
You just forgot to mention that building your personal nuclear reactor is lot easier and faster.
Besides, here is a quote from site:
" PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOCUMENTATION IS NOT YET ANYWHERE NEAR FINISHED"

Yeah, heh heh. I winged it a bit, since I had installed Gentoo a few times. I already know most of the steps. It really isn't that much harder than a normal network install(which is the only way, really to keep ole Deb from becoming too bloated <cough -Redhat- cough -Suse -cough>)

But, yeah, the Sarge netinstall disk should do the trick.
