â instead of single quote char in debian man ?
Hello,
Using putty to connect to Debian 5 box. All single quote characters in manual pages are replaced with â. Putty character set is "ISO-8859-1:1998 (Latin-1, West Europe)", if I change charset to "ISO-8859-13:1998 (Latin-7, Baltic)" single quotes now are displayed as ā. I don't know if this Debian's or putty's fault but CentOS OS displays correct ' char in it's man pages using the same putty config. Possible to fix that ? thanks Vilius |
Hya,
What happens if you set locale to "C"? Happy Penguins! |
