[sid] setting locale

Hello.
I think I have a problem in configuring locales.
I ran dpkg-reconfigure locales to compile my locales, OK.
I then set up .bash_profile to set things up, and I do have messages in italian,
but unfortunately not all of them.
For instance, I still get: cat: foo: No such file or directory
What's more, a strange thing happens with konsole: fonts in the status bar and menu bar
are just turn into square boxes...
What's this about?
This happens only with konsole, no other sw complains about anything.

Thanks,

Guldo

There are some utilities here&there that don't (yet) speak italian.
Its OpenSource, meaning some volunteer has to translate.
Why not you? It's rellay not that difficult, all it takes is a
little time and gtranslator.

Its only konsole, all the other k*** thingies work??? Strange,
indeed... So use Eterm instead, that looks better anyway ;)

I'd check it out, thanks.

It's a KDE-stuff problem. Maybe font related. No KDE thing works fine.
Anyway I'm now using wterm.

Thanks,

I had this when trying some de locale: the whole of kde used an
ugly typewriter font. Then i tried some of the various iso10464,
8859-1 and 8859-15 fonts and it seemed to work.
Until the next login, after wich i saw either that ugly font or those
boxes you mentioned
But since i usually use the C locale, it doesn't really bother me.
Its just a pity that kde is this dodgy. They should fix bugs instead
of adding more bells&whistles each time...
Lets hope the new release is better (if not, i will file a bug
report)
