Why is ext3, in DamnSmallLinux, so corrputable


I did a full install to a virtual harddrive in VirtualBox, and it seems if I do a hard shutdown on it, fsck can't fix the errors, yet in any other distro if you do a hard shutdown, it fixes it fine

Hmm, Did you file a bug report with VB or DSL?

no, I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it

Same Problems

hi,

i have the same problems with dsl (4rc2)and ext3. dsl 3 with ext2 does have also problems with repairing the fs with fsck, but not as regulary as the new dsl version.

is there any solution for this problem? root-partition as read-only?
