where to start


I'm looking for a small linux distro that can be installed on an IDE Flash Module 256MB 40pin vertical for a linux terminal server project.

The size of DSL seems just like what I'm looking for.

What iso version do I need? Any installation/setup advice? I'm quite familiar with mandrake and knoppix, but new to DSL.

Any suggestions would be great!

Also check out FeatherLinux. It's designed for booting from flash media.

Slax supports this as well, and is should be easy with MySlax Creator.

DSL should work great for this. The most up to date version is dsl-1.4.iso. I would check out a frugal install. Here is a thread with some information regarding what frugal is:
