USB Pen Drive booting?

I checked out the guide on the site but I really didn't understand it that well... If I were to install DSL on a USB Pen Drive like 512mb, can I do it? Could I simply just fdisk <partition> and create a partition or is there more complicated things involved? Thanks in advance for any response.

there was a discussion on this a while back, one of the major issues was whether or not your bios supported booting from usb.....
